I am confused when dual booting do you install the older version of Windows or do you install the newer version first. Is there a reason as to why a certain order must be followed.

i think if you install old version first and then newer version you will be good
but if you go lets say vista and then xp, you have to tweak the bootloader this will give you all you need http://apcmag.com/howto_home.htm

Logic, to me, says it would make sense to install the oldest version last. e.g. Install Windows 7 RC, then XP. I think the newer OS's Boot Loader would probably try to ignore the older OS, so noobs who install Vista and don't delete XP can never use their XP again. Microsoft doesn't want people to know their new stuff sucks and go back to the old stuff.
