Even if I type in the correct password, it does not work. I have to go to their msn.com webpage to get into email.

It's the latest version.

latest version is horrible imo, but i found a lil thing that sometimes works
close MSN out from the notification area, right click on it and exit
then just open it again and try
if that didn't work just try the repair option a few times, the MSN repair option
i also found that this happens to me less when i provide my own DNSs

Quick fix (Known to work in many cases).


In Internet Explorer (Even if you don't use IE), Click the tools menu, go to Internet options.

Once you're in there, click "Advanced" tab, UNCHECK "Check for server certificate revocation *"

Apply, then try login to msn.

do u get an error message? if you dled a standalone .msi, you'd need to install contacts.msi as well.

Well... long shot here but I know if my system clock (bottom right corner) isn't set to the right time within 10 minutes of the real time msn will not log me in. Is your time correct and date. PM AM/ year etc.

Didn't need to do this since it was already unchecked.

I downloaded it when the live messenger thing said there was a new one. ( Is it required to run a new version by any chance or does the old one work? )
How do I get that? It gives me an error message when I attempt to log on.

Yes, you have must have the latest version or you can't sign in. Microsoft has done this for security updates
