In my windows 7 machine (x64) I'm using a D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme N PCIe Destop Adapter

No Issues with it yet.

Running the same adapter in my HTPC and one of my other builds that is sitting around. (x64 Vista)

I've had good luck with the cheapy one that Micro Center (didn't realize you were in the UK... Don't know if you can get this one there..) sells for 20 bucks too.
Its just a 802.11g adapter.... Here is a pick of the box.

Thanks for the suggestion! Though I'd rather buy a USB adaptor as I've got no room in my case (SLI).

I'm hoping to get this one working, or alternatively buy a cheap-ish one that I know will work with 64bit.

I have an 802.11g wireless Rosewill card that was purchased on Newegg for cheap. It works wonderfully with Windows 7 x64.

Can't you use the top PCI x1 slot on that mother board for a wireless adapter? That's the slot that the one that I'm using, uses.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'd prefer to use a USB adaptor, but I guess I could use a card if I really needed to. I'm in the UK though, so it'd have to be from a UK website.

Would the top slot work? I could use it if it came down to it I guess.

I've never had any luck with USB adapters... They don't seem to have the range as the ones that are cards.... Accept for the one that is on my mini ITX build... that one plugs right into a USB header that is on the motherboard. (ZOTAC) Not sure of who makes it for them. That one gets the best signal of any of my wireless set ups... Its only a 802.11g adapter though. (Never tried it with Windows 7 yet.) Running Vista x32 on it due to some of the software that I run on that machine.)

Good luck finding something that works for you.

Send me a message when you find something that works good for you. Would be interesting to know what you end up with.

BTW, Here is a link to what the D-link one that I use is.

I'm running a WUSB54GC right now and it works great. No issues with connecting and it works much better than in XP. Don't have to install any extra crap in 7 because it just works.

My current USB adaptor works fine in Vista 32bit, the range is great on it, there just deosn't seem to be and drivers for it in 64bit. Though I did find this before;

http://www.vistax64.com/drivers/1839...iver-hell.html

I followed the link and DL'ed the files, but I'm not sure how I would install them?

That's the Linksy's one, right? Are you running W7 64bit? I may have to pick one up!
