Default couple of windows 7 questions

just installed window 7 on my comp, loving the feel of it and trying to get around software in-compatibilities.

at this time i have to questions, first is that in system properties, it isnt showing my cpu overclock. just e5300 @ 2.6ghz 2.6 where my speed is at 3.21ghz. i then used a program called cpu speed, and it showed my cpu as 3.3ghz even tho in xp it was always 3.21.

second is that my internet speeds have slowed down by about halfish. i used to get anywhere from 300kbs to 500kbs, now it seems to peak at about 230kbs. is this a fault with the OS or possibly just my ISP?

thanks for your help

I have Windows 7 and it doesn't show overclock/underclock for my CPU at all. the Program you used likely does a better job.

About the internet speed, I can say I haaven't experienced a slow down. But maybe there's a network card-driver issue? I would guess it's just your ISP, though.

Maybe try running Windows Update to see if there's a newer version of your NIC's drivers? I experienced similar problems when I first installed this OS, but they seem to have melted away...
