Default Windows 7 free w/ vista question

I just bought Vista home 64 with a free windows 7 upgrade coupon for a new build. I am wondering once windows 7 is released will I be able to use that coupon to download windows 7 or will they have to mail me a disk. If they have to mail me a disk is there a chance I will be in a huge line that may take weeks before I receive a disk?

I would rather install vista then windows 7 at the same time rather then install vista and then 2 weeks later have to do a full clean install of 7.

Just wondering how this whole thing is going to work.

You should just use a key that came in the Vista packaging. If you want a disc I read somewhere that Microsoft is charging 13 or 16$ to mail the disc.

Is it an upgrade or an actual full copy. An upgrade to me indicates that you just install it over your existing OS. Meaning that it is still the same ol OS at teh core right...

Ok I found the answer.

"You're supposed to get a free upgrade to Windows 7... If you purchesd the OEM version and it came with the coupon, you're golden. Don't sweat it, you'll get your upgrade disc.

Think of it like this: An OEM builds a computer and sells it to a customer. The OEM doesn't go through the hassle of the upgrade BS with Microsoft, they give the customer the coupon and the customer does it, right? As far as MS knows, you're the customer, and you'll get the upgrade."

"go to windows7upgradeoption.com and follow it, and windows will mail you a copy in the same language and comparable edition as your vista version
oh yeah you must sign up by feb 28 2010 "

So who knows how long it will take for me to receive it.

Anyone have FACTS? I would like a 100% for sure answer.
You have to use the coupon code and go to the windows7 upgrade site. Itll prompt you to put all of your info and once its verified, youll get a confrimation email saying your upgrade will ship around the first week of Nov. They send you a disk, so you basically have to wait a few weeks after the initial release.
