hey guys,
i've got the Netgear WG111 v2 USB wireless adapter at the moment, works flawlessly. but i just got Windows 7 64-bit and im a bit worried it wont work, i dont wanna disable driver signing. is there a USB adapter that is confirmed 100% to work perfectly for Windows 7 yet? it has to be USB, please dont offer PCI options or preach that PCI is better as it cant happen, no free slots. cheers.

You can get any wireless "B" adapter and it will work for sure. If you are looking for "G" or "N" I am not sure, but I can tell you that a Linksys WUSB54GP will not work

Hi - I have exactlet the same issue - just bought win7 64bit, and have a Netgear WN111v2. I have tried every driver under the sun and nothing works? How on earth did you get yours working? Where did you find the drivers?
PS Im in the UK so if there US then they wont work on mine? Was there a particular process you took to get it to work? Ive gotten to a stage where it will recognise the device but wont recognise or allow the program to run (even in compatability mode). Can you list the version of NG your using and the driver? There doesnt seem to be any comparity on this subject - some just seem to 'work' other dont at all? Any links to adaptors that do work on UK market / drivers etc? Help

I actually had that issue too. A good solution was to get a DD-WRT capable router and configure it as a wireless bridge. It has been way faster for me than the old wireless card.

If the device has a 64bit driver available it will most likely work. Whether the driver is signed or not depends on the company (drivers signing is such a pain in the ass
). My old Airlink101 cards only have WinXP 64bit drivers, but they work fine (no compatibility mode, just disabling driver signing).

THIS.
I've used it with XP, Vista, and 7 (32 and 64-bit versions). Works better than PCI wireless cards from my experience too. Just get it

yeah well with Netgear WG111v2 i have, i didnt have to download drivers or anything, Windows 7 did all that for me.
only reason i started this thread was i was about to start the Windows 7 process but got a little worried and thought i should check first, but then ended up just going for it.
