You mean updating the drivers?
Either turn off Windows Update via the Security Center/Action Center by turning it off, or changing the settings to "Not Download or Install" the updates, or make it so that it downloads them but asks you which to install. I prefer to have it set to download them but let me choose when to install them, and that way I can choose exactly what I want to be installed and what not to be installed.

Turn off Automatic Updates, obviously.

Okay, then what is the problem? Just because it downloads them doesn't mean it installs them automatically. If you have it set to download but not install then you have nothing to worry about.

Are you trying to install your own drivers but windows keeps popping up trying todo it for you?
If so then just unplug your internet cable and no drivers will try and auto install

Not sure if this can be done once an update is downloaded, but if set to ask for permission to download you can right click on the update and hide it.
