You don't have to get really into it but I mean what is your system for backing everything up? I have another drive and I also copy it onto flash drives. Pictures, Movies, Music, Text Documents, Invoices, PDF's, etc. I was just organizing some of it tonight and it's tough. I can't find some pictures that I thought I had since I have 10,000 flash drives. I back everything up and I have doubles on my main drive and it's hard to go through all that and find doubles. Another thing I wanted to know is how do you do an "Advanced Search" for the whole Overclock.net forum?

I use the default windows organization system (libraries etc) and manually organize and rename/edit properties of files by hand every couple months.
I tend to rotate what type of media I organize when as doing all of it at once would suck so at one time I'll do movies/videos than another organize my music and the way all my media will fit on my zune (usually accompanied by a complete format of the zune) etc.

I think an external drive is worth investing in. Mine has backups of all my pics, documents, movies, and music. I also keep DVD backups of pics, which is the only thing I'd really miss if something happened (well that and some DOCs from school).

I have to be very descriptive like my pictures is (Me, Me + Others, Others). I just wish there was a program to help out my music since there is so much. Most of it is organized at least in folders with Capitalized Names and such but a lot of it isn't either.

everything arranged by type of content... so i have a boot/os/programs partition, swap, and then storage... on my the storage drive multiple directories break it all down... ie i have an audio, video, document, iso, program, desktop, complete, incomplete... etc i have 7tb on this machine -- music for example is broken down into albums, soundtracks, various, classical, audiobook... albums is broken down to artist, followed by albums with a yyyy - album title format... with tracks being track number - song title...
flash drives and things like SD cards i have batch file to sync without replace to predetermined directories... ie my 32GB work thumbdrive syncs when i plug it in to \document\storage media\work flash drive.... the same with my 4gb sd card in my camera... \document\storage media\digital camera important directories from my boot/os/programs drive, like appdata, etc... are mirrored to my storage drive every 24 hours... which itself it is mirrored to my file server 21tb ever 24 hours -- with my documents folder being mirrored every 2 hours... have a bunch of stuff there that's already backed up to DL-DVDs and never changes... this is mostly media, things like movies and music that i have real disks for in storage but keep online for two mythTV frontends... then i have an external enclosure with 16 750gbs on 2 8 port sata controllers with a software raid5 stripe 11.2tb that powers on once a week and mirrors everything but the stuff that never changes on my file server... and then shuts down if the backup was successful... i once had 4 60gb deathstars fail on me within a week of each other... as you can tell i HATE losing my data...
