Default Can't see OS startup process.

I can't see my startup process until I'm prompted for my PW. As in my monitor seems not to power on until I need to type in the PW. I also run ASUS Express Gate and I cant even see that when comp is starting up.

I recently defragged and optimized the hard drive using Auslogics Disk Defrag as well as did a disk cleanup in which I deleted all temporary files (10gb).

Also the lights on my keyboard flicker off and on during the startup process.

Any suggestion on what caused this and troubleshoots to fix?

edit: I guess it decided to show the startup process on the HDTV I have hooked up but still require me to type in my PW on my monitor. Kinda wierd the TV is not set as primary monitor.
