im thinkin bout upgrading my Samsung NC10 to windows 7 (as soon as i upgrade my ram to 2gb anyway), i keep hearing about a 'starter' version for netbooks, what is it/where is it/how much?

I believe that the "starter" version is for OEMs only.

I'm running Pro on my netbook (Toshiba NB205) and it runs very well. I see no reason to go with the starter edition.

Starter is for OEM distribution only. I would just pick up a regular copy and just tweak it to your needs.

Yup, starter is OEM only and you don't want it any way.
Several key features are missing (like you can't even change the desktop background pic).
