Default W7 - Issue removing program through Control Panel

I am having a really tough time with this one. Last night I downloaded software from Sony's website for a Sony ICD-P210 voice recorder. The software installs 2 entries into the Programs list in Control Panel: Digital Voice Editing Software and Windows Driver Package - Sony Corporation (ICDUSB3). Even though the software claimed it had support for up to Vista x64 the voice editing software would install but the driver could not be used to allow me access to the device. This was no biggie so I went into Control Panel and first removed the Digital Voice Editing Software. Then went to Program Files (x86) and removed any folder left from the uninstallation.

Next I ran CCleaner to clean up any registry entries for the software and then confirmed in regedit that there are no entries for this software in the registry. I then tried to remove the Windows Driver Package entry but a window pops up stating the follow applications are still using the driver but the list is blank. I choose to remove anyway and nothing further happens. I get no confirmation of a successful uninstall and the Driver Package software still resides in the programs list.

I have tried rebooting and then going through again but still I cannot remove this software. I will try booting up in safe mode tonight when I get home and try to remove it but in the meantime, does anyone have any other suggestions? Is there any way through the programs list to check what files are associated with the software on my computer and remove them, then manually remove the entry from showing in the programs list?

I just tried reinstalling the software and then using the uninstaller to see if that helps. If not I will give revo a shot.

I reinstalled the app package to see if there was an uninstaller and there wasn't. Again I removed the Digital Voice software package from Programs but the Windows Driver Package still cannot be removed. I downloaded and installed revo unintaller and it didn't even recognize it as being installed.

I ran a search of the files in the driver package and traced them to a folder in C:\windows\system32\driverstore\file repository but I am unable to remove the folder containing the files or even just the files from within the folder.
