Default Windows 7: Cannot Install

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (Student Offer - .exe file)

I purchased and downloaded the above. The first time it did not download the "setup1.box" and "setup2.box" files, so I had to do a fresh download. Well, now the second time I downloaded I get the following error (which I also received when trying to run the .exe without the .box files):

Quote:
The application cannot find one of its required files, possibly because it was unable to create it in the folder. Please make sure that the folder in which this application was downloaded is accessible and not read-only.
Now I tried to run the .exe from the desktop where it downloaded to, from My Documents folder, and from the Users/username/ folder but still received the error. I tried to go to properties and select "Unblock" for all of them but none of the files had it. I tried running the .exe as administrator and in compatibility for Windows XP SP2. Is there anything else I can try without having to wait 3 hours to re-download everything for a third time?

Thanks.

Where are you downloading it from?

tbh the best way to install Windows 7 would be to get an ISO then burn it onto DVD.

This is a common error with the win741 offer from Digital River. My friend encountered this the other day, and after a little bit of googling he found a fix. I believe Microsoft has addressed the issue, so you might want to head there and check it out.
