How can i run Windows 7 on 256 ram? (Not for me friends wants windows 7 on an old machine)

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahaha.... that means its impossible because ud basically have to turn off all the "super duper features" so it wouldnt be worth it

A majority of retail computers came with 256mb ram back then...
__________________ They all ran fine.to op, my old p4 system could run w7, though, it started to get really laggy as I loaded multiple applications, and that was with 1 gb of ram lol

Windows 7 should be able to run fine on 512 mb of ram. It basically went from XP's 256 mb, to Vista's 2 1/2 gb, to 7 needing 512. I think that's a great reduction since Vista. I don't know about 256 for 7, though.. I'd stick with XP for that...

A friend of mine has W7 in a 256Mb with a 1.6Gz Pentium4
but it's the most basic version of Windows 7.
