I have Fedora Core 4, and Suse 10. I use Fedora on my server (It is dual boot with 2K3) and I like it. I use YUM update to update most of my stuff and it works great. Suse 10 IMO is a better desktop and Fedora is a better server. You should try Suse 10. It really does make a nice desktop. For installing drivers is made easy on Suse. When you run Yast to update it, you can give it the address to, say nvidia, and it will get the drivers and install them for you.
