Default Windows XP Pro restarting at random Help????

Hi,

I just reinstalled Windows XP Pro and everything is working great! The only thing is once in a while the system, just restarts. No error message or anything. I checked my temps and they are all really low per my Aerogate temp monitor.

Any ideas on what to do to correct the issue?

Thanks!

Well your g-card shouldnt cause the problem. Well to get XP to tell you whats up go into your ''system control panel'' then go into ''system'' and then ''advanced''. Then click on the button called ''start up and recovery'' go into this and untick the box called ''Automatically restart''

Ok, thanks! I did that. How do you find what the issue is? You said something about "windows will tell you whats up" by going to the controlpanel / system / startup and recovery.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late response..Yes once you do what i said above the next time your system crashes it wont just restart it will now display a blue screen telling you what the problem which is alot more helpful than just restarting.

hey i like that.. thanks for the good info there..

also i might add that to find out if you do have conflicts or sharing you can get this info from system info start button>all programs>accessories>system tools>system info then click the + next to hardware resourses and click on conflicts and sharing please note however that some items will always share or conflict with something.. but certain ones say like a video card conflicting with a sound card could result in a reset such as you mentioned.. just a spot to check for conflicts.. could also be a memeory thing too sometimes that will spawn a reset for no reason as it may seam
