Read my post above your post. But to expand on what I said in my previous post, you can buy the games' cdkeys from NCsoft's online store. I bought from them before and it isn't too painful.

downloading it now and as soon as the "playNC" site comes back online i'm going to start one of those free-trials.

If this is anything like Anarchy Online, there is a newbie area you start out in to learn the basics of the game right?

If so, would anyone feel like starting up a character with me, so I atleast get going on the right foot? It'd be appreciated

(Oh and by getting started.. I am not asking for free stuff.. I mean showing me the ropes, helping me choose the right class for someone like me, etc.)

Now I remember why I didn't want to quit my Anarchy Online.. cause it took me several years to learn everything to have a firm understanding of all classes, special abilities, skills, weapons, armor, and knowledge of all these things for most of all classes for all the level ranges (1-220)

Honestly, there's not much to learn in GW. By doing the quests and having people help you out with various things, you learn everything along the way.
