But gamers are more likely have have rigs that are great for folding. The GPU clients are are leaving everyone else in the dust.

Very true.

For team competition here, only 2000ppd from a GPU is counted anyways, which would be easy enough to get overnight with the more powerful cards. It might not be practical to try and go it solo with a non-dedicated folding rig, but it's perfectly possible to be on a competitive team. biatchi is right , though, gaming will slow F@H progress immensely while the game is being run.

Yes but the gamers are also more likley to be using their rigs to game.

My quad at only 3.5 will do ~5000ppd so gpu's aren't exactly leaving everybody in the dust.
