just a thought.
There would be no way to track who made contributions to a generic team name, so that is not an option.

Sorry for throwing this question in here, but are there detailed instructions anywhere on how to go about limiting native linux SMP on a quad to two cores? I have a team mate who could use those.

EDIT: Nevermind. Forgot about those nifty things called man pages.

Quad/GPU2 clients are now capped at 2350 points per day instead of the previous 2000 points per day.

OP needs to be updated to reflect these changes.

Thanks

Thank you

You are only missing one fix:

Quote:
Windows or Linux SMP on all four cores. Team folders who desire to fold on all four cores under their primary folding name may fold on all four cores provided that 1) they declare this both in a PM to me and in the first post of their team's thread and 2) they fold on that quad core system and no other computers under their primary folding name, which will show as 1 CPU on Stanford's folding stats page. Members who choose this option will be capped at 2,000 points per day on their quad. This number was determined by studying six months of folding results and is on par with some of the very best dual core performances on record based on full month results. This option will count 2 cores against the team's core count. New 6/6/08.

Just a question. I fold in the GPU competition, but could i also fold under the same name here? I'd be still on my GPU. I don't see anything wrong with it, they'd be scored seperately. I'd be capped just like every other GPU folder in the SMP comp. But, under the same name in the GPU comp i can run hogwild uncapped as everyone. Could i do this or what? If it's confusing i'll try to explain better. I see no reason why it shouldn't be allowed...
