Default Quad teams?

Will there ever be a special subset of teams that are allowed 16 cores between four members? I would like to join a team, but the existing structure is either technically complex above and beyond the already rigorous requirements of folding, or I have to turn off 1 or 2 of my cores, which is anathema to the very nature of folding for OCN in the first place.

I understand this is not a simple question, nor do I expect an obvious, yes or no answer. Just wondering if it's something Taeric and the rest of the pantheon of mods have been asked before...

There was an initiative to raise core limits, but the idea was shot down.

I support it, I dont think theres an active team that doesnt have at least one quad running.

Yeah, I brought up that idea a while back. It's a good idea.

IMO: The inherent problem I think is the amount of time maintaining the existing competition. Having to do twice the work would be too much for the administrators.

I still think that we should raise the core limits to at least 10 though, not create a separate competition.

I would even be willing to buy a quad core if they would support it

I think that policy made sense a few years ago with most people using dual and single cores. But now, a great many folders ..... *cough* *gibson* .... have multiple quads even, so its about time the policy was updated.
