On a completely unrelated note, there's more thunder now. NOT ANOTHER FREAKING STORM!!

I am still amazed at how quickly Vista installs. It's light years faster than XP! And it's a good thing the electricity didn't go out during the Vista installation.

Wahoo! Just did an "sfc /scannow" on my new x64 installation and it said it was error-free! Haven't had a single problem with it at all. Hopefully it stays that way this time.

Woah! This new drive has a burst speed more than twice as fast as my old IDE one! Now all I need to do is get another one of these hdds and a RAID controller.

Even though I doubt it will have any effect on folding times whatsoever. lol

Well guys we put up a hell of a fight, but if your going to upgrade might as well get stable and running the way you want...jade gave the latest update.

Quote:
Scores taken from Extreme.

Rough Riders - 158036 (on pace to hit their goal of 300K)
Replacements - 146620 (possible 300K here also)

In the individual C2D race for the highest individual score....

JadeMiner - 48,053
lemans81 - 49,280

This one is going to be close. Both members are determined. Driven. And will settle for nothing short of first place.
All of our issues have been out of our control, so its just one of those things. So if you have anymore tricks to pull out of your hat get them ready, I have a bit more...., if you need to upgrade nows the time.

Well guys, at least my system is stable at 3.6GHz in VIsta x64. I'm convinced it was Windows Defender now. Also, keep this in mind. "The slow and steady wins the race".

And mailing an exploding E8500 with super low vid to freeroller doesn't hurt either(don't worry, its just enough C4 to blow the cpu cooler off).
