GPU's or people who fold on all for cores accept the cap to level the playing field

Because the current setup is max 3 cores for a quad, or a limit on the GPU points. Its to level the playing field. If they let graphics cards run without any caps the competition would literally turn into the exact same as the GPU competition. By capping the values less than you could pull with a overclocked dual-core, it encourages people to push their chips that much farther to out-do the other teams.

I say leave the cap as it is.

The cap is only the total for the competition. What gets sent to stanford isn't capped. The cap is there to keep the playing field level for everyone in the competition.

Since it looks like we will be raising the cap, I insist that all gpu members fold only on one card. There are several who are still folding on multiple gpu's under the same name.

Will weaken the regular comp but for people like me we wouldnt be able to touch people with 280s or above for the gpu comp.

No he is mistaken. You can fold on 4 cores a quad but you will be capped just like a gpu. Only dual cores/single cores can run uncapped.
