Yep...

Updating the first post -- One member needed (1 CPU unless you can beat one of the crappy ones we're currently using).

Maybe it should be set to 20 rep then!

It's all of the above as well as 20 posts (20 days/reps/posts). It's just somewhat unusual that the days criterion is the hold up.

pbasil1: Looks like you just got demoted... I guess after whichever WU ends first close that client and just run the other one. Do you have another machine you can run FAH on?

Update:
We're currently looking for one more PA or KY resident/export with 1-3 CPUs running FAH. If you have something better that what we're currently running will bump those machines into a, "dummy account," under our the team's name (folding for Team 37726 and the greater cause of course!).

You can change the second instance to a different name, but killing it would be best.

Here's some very rough math that makes a weak assumption that both instances run equally fast -

- Assume 100 point WU takes 1 day to complete on 1 instance
- 2 instances yields around 130 points/day
- That's roughly 65 points/instance/day or 2 WUs per 1.55 days on the two instances (if you split two instances between two user names, that's the kind of decrease you'd see)
- The negative: one generation of a project must be fully complete before the next generation can begin. By using two instances with this ficticious WU, a generation could potentially be delayed by 0.55 days if you happen to have the last WU in that generation. That seems small, but if a project has 100 or 1000 generations, a half day here and there could equate to long delays which could significantly impact the research effort in a negative way.

Those numbers are very rough and make some bad assumptions, but the general concepts hold.

Obviously you can do whatever you want. In Stanfords view, every bit of effort is appreciated. Even though you would take a bit of a hit on point production, running one instance is most beneficial to the project. Please see the FAQ in my sig for more info.

My suggestion would be run one instance on your computer and one on your dad's. That would provide the greatest benefit to your team and the project as a whole.
