yep, that's what happens when you change members mid-way a month. You only receive the points of the NEW member (otherwise you would have had a 5-member team...)

That's odd. When was wire added? You guys started out with a different team also. Then wire replaced Gollie. So then wire's points don't count either. Correct?

EDIT: where does it say you can't replace a guy with another. It's still a 4 man team
I am going to check the rules to see where it says you can't replace a man. Or lose all his points.
I think Taeric just didn't look and add in Johan's

I'd be the new member. So the team would lose the points of whoever I took over for and would get the points I had for the month. I believe thats how it works?

I just read the rules. NOWHERE does it say that if a person is replaced that you lose the points for that person. That wouldn't make sense. Computers break. Johan folded strong and hard and of course his points are counted.
Chozart or wire. Can you show me the rule where if a guy is replaced, that you lose all the points he folded?
I'm 99% sure Taeric just forgot to add Johan. He's a busy man.

I don't think it's a written rule, but that's how it always has been. As wire stated, when he joined our team, we lost the points from our previous folder also for that month, but we gained his. Thus, a replacement is done from the beginning of the month.

Unofficially speaking, I believe only 4 members per month are counted... max of 4 members per team. With 1 replacement that would be 5 members in a single month and the points are based on a per month total.

So even if he wasn't folding for you in the beginning of the month, you get ALL the points he gained? That's stupid! Some team could get Gibson to join their team, shut off all but two of his cores and they'd get more than 850k points!

Yea, no, I doubt that's how it goes.

Not all his points of course. Just the points associated with those two cores (and then again, when would a solo power folder join a team? In that case, he'll have had more than 3 cores, making his previously earned points invalid).

Oh well, we'll see what Taeric has to say.

Come on Gooda that's just plain dumb thinking there, can you get 850k points in a month with 2 cores.......... I think not, it makes perfect since imo.

Think of it like this, You have 4 people folding with 20k points each, well one drops so you now only have 3 with 20k points, they pick up another to get 4 once again with 20k points for 3 and 30k for the other, how is that not fair, you have 4 team members and total of 8 cores. If you went your way you would have 5 team members and 10 cores.

And besides if that is how it worls then that means that I can have what 8 people folding and just interchange them when they get a WU done, they are still only 8 cores folding at one time as far as the team is concerned we just switch members alot,, hhmmmm maybe thats how you get some major points. I don't know I can see it going both ways in a way but at the same time not especially if the whole months points are added in for the new member, that's where the conflict comes in to play. Now if you used partial for both team members the one who left and the one who came then ok, count all team members new and old, but I think it would be unfair if you counted all the new members points and the partial months points for the old member.

No offense but I think your getting pissy simply cause your mad you all aren't in 1st now ( Don't mean to be harsh just at ya a little bit )

On a better note, WOOT Replacements still in 4th and not doing to shabby at all!!

And congrats to all teams for some good folding.
