A single quad can put out almost 4.5k ppd, a dual core has no chance to do that. It all depends on how high you OC and the client/WU.

The GPU client uses one core and puts out more ppd than four cores do. That doesn't seem fair to me. A dual core puts out less than a quad, therefore I don't think should be limited.

"Average" Quad gets 2k PPD.

And to be honest... You very few people can fold at 3k PPD on a dual core, the only people that really can, are the few in competition - and even then, it is quite the achievement.. I wouldn't base throttling off of the extremities

Please note that with the insane point totals produced by the GPU2 client, we will we have to throttle those points back for anyone who chooses to use the GPU2 client in the team competition. Until things settle down with the 5000 +/- ppd production rate, we will treat them as quads, counting them as 2 cores against the core limits and capping them at 2k ppd. Anyone who wishes to use this client needs to PM that intention to me.
I so wanted to put rough riders down into a nice second place...but we have had one issue after another this month. Also its sad just be cause seems to be disbanding, farewell to an awesome team. To rough riders, we will be ready for you next month, be ready for us.
