I call foul! If everyone is given a 2000ppd limit. Why do the members of the first two teams have more than 6000 points? I should have around 15000 points racked up by now. But, I'm cut to 6000 and they're not.

What's the point if everyone doesn't have to follow the same rules?

Every one does follow the same rules. I wish some people would actually pay attention.
__________________Here, read this http://www.overclock.net/folding-tea...unt-cores.html and now this http://www.overclock.net/folding-tea...mpetition.html And now this http://www.overclock.net/folding-tea...your-team.html If you don't like the cap then just go be a power folder is all I can say. The rules have been established. The only rule that has any exception at all is if you are smart enough to use the affinity switcher while using a Quad core. Then if you run VM+UB you can set the affinity(the cores) to only core1 and core0 which then is essentially a dual core, because how is an Intel Quad core made?? Come on, I know you know this. And yes I say this because I feel I was targeted. To be honest I myself am about sick of team comp. only due to the winey ones that only want to GPU2 fold who complete 100's of wu's and point system is just crazy high. Then again, the only thing to do would be to uncap all and let us rip. I mean hell, I got plenty of GPU2 power too myself so if you all insist I'll curb stomp ya there too ![]() Ok, now I apologize for what I just said, sometimes I just have to rant. If you look at any Dual core, and I mean any. Show me one that gets 6k ppd now! Go powerfold people

![]() Not everyone can afford quad's or alot of GPU's. Most of us use ( I know this is true for me) the gpu client because it is the cheapest way for PPD's without getting multiple gpu's ro a cpu/board/cooler (I spent <$75 on my gpu). I was just saying that if the quad's and GPU's are strapped, the dual's should be too. It seems to single out 1 or 2 groups (depending how you look at it) right now. But anyway, this has been discussed privately in the staff boards and it won't change (not currently) so let's drop it. I'm in it for a bit of competition and to help find a cure, not b*tch about caps. ![]() (not saying anyone was, just before that's what this turns into.)

Rx7 is on it.
Low end Quad - 5,000 ppd, high end 6,500 ppd Gpu 8800gs stock 3800ppd - OC'ed 5000ppd High end gpu stock 7000ppd - OC'ed 11,000ppd CPU smp @ 3.2ghz 1500ppd CPU smp @ 3.5ghz 1650ppd CPU smp @ 3.9ghz 2400ppd CPU vmware @ 3.2ghz 2000ppd CPU vmware @ 3.5ghz 2400ppd CPU vmware @ 3.8ghz 2700ppd CPU vmware @ 4ghz 3000ppd CPU vmware @ 4.4ghz 3800ppd Now that means a stock 8800gs can equal the best cpu out there. And a quad will destroy it. I have no qualms about restructing, but you remember that the E2200-E6300 and E5200-E7300 don't support virtualization, so they can't use vmware. That means anyone using those chips can't compete now with the capped gpu very easily. Also if we cap everyone at 2k why play anymore? The new phenoms and i7's may do really well, they may need a cpu cap or maybe they will let the gpu's a little looser. I know as repo has said this has been discussed and we are actively watching to keep things fair. We already plan to readdress this at the end of january.

And we're here to not oc our cpu to the max?
__________________![]() I'm trying to understand the logic of limiting a cpu's oc on a dual core therefore limiting the ppd. It doesn't take a $500 cpu to get a decent scoring ppd on a dual, just a good 3.8+ and you're in the 3k ppd range typically and that's on 65nm such as my E6750. You can do whatever you want with 2 cores, I mean if you figure out a way to get 12k ppd with only using 2 cores, You go boy And the main reason why it has always been mainly oriented towards single and dual core cpu's is because in the beginning that's what we had.

Of course you don't want it to be fair. You got credit for 11520 points, while the rest of us are held back at 6000. I'm shutting my cores off until the rules are fair for everyone.
