Well I was hoping for an easy installation of VMWare server to setup a virtual machine for Fedora Core 6. My first attempt, which took 1h, failed. My 2nd attempt, which took less time, still failed.
__________________I'm at a crossroads: setup dual boot (like before) or just do windows folding. Windows folding is definately slow with bad WUs... right now I have 2 396 pointers, turning in 220PPD each. That's less than a third of my output with SMP.... I'll probably go dual boot again, because Virtualization kills the efficency anyways... the 32-->64bit conversion is apparently bad for efficency... The best would be to wait for Linux 32 bit SMP... but who knows when that's going to happen. For the time being, I'm tracking my folding in FahMon, folding 2 clients on my sig rig. If performance can reach about 1000ppd, I might end up sticking with that. Jimmy

Just right now, I am getting excellent WUs, pushing production over 1000ppd, and that even with a mild overclock only (3.0GHz).
I am getting the bits for both rigs now, and will be down a bit today when reconfiguring everything and give each rig the hardware it needs

Have you set up the client to only accept WUs without a deadline? I did that once and had that occur.. They don't often have WUs without deadlines..
