Here are the results through the noon update on April 18 -
  1. 22797 Team The 939's
  2. 20145 Team owners
  3. 19358 Team ArMaDa
  4. 16777 Team Performance Preslers
  5. 15805 Team CPU Burners
  6. 15564 Team Slow-'n-Low
  7. 14747 Team Folders Inc.
  8. 13125 Team TOFTOF
  9. 11169 Team Overclock Foldowzers
  10. 9110 Team Just Be Cause
  11. 9106 Team MHz Masters
  12. 8109 Team PFFT
  13. 7551 Team Average Joes
  14. 3549 Team Zang!
Just as another reminder, please keep tabs on the number of CPUs used by each member and each team. "Extra" folding power should go under "Team_<your team name>". Currently three of the top four teams are over their CPU allotment by at least 3 CPUs, and there's one member currently using 8 CPUs for his team and another with 6 (based on the last 7 days). Teams that are consistently over on CPUs will not be eligible for prizes.

if those teams are over their CPU count, will you adjust the scores at the end of the month so the totals aren't so skewed?

My current thought is to just disqualify offending teams from the prizes (as small as they are) rather than scaling the scores.

I by no means want to discourage folks from folding with as many computers as they can get their hands on. It's just important for the sake of having a relatively level playing field for this competition that all of the participants set their folding names appropriately to either their personal folding name (to count in the team score) or their team's folding name (to count for overclock.net's team but not for their personal folding teams other than for bragging rights).

that's my thought, but i didn't know how you were handling things. it's just a shame since i was browsing some of the people's CPU count from the last 7 days and there were individuals in the Team Competition with 6-8 CPUs.... now it makes sense how they get an insane amount of points per day.

Mmmmnn sour grapes maybe !

but

Stick within the competition rules guy's.
Some of you user's are running 9 active CPU's and there are teams exceeding the 8 active CPU total..

Let's keep it a level and fair playing field.

cheers

sour grapes has nothing to do with abiding by the rules. it makes the team competition pointless if you can stack as many CPUs as you want while the rest of the teams abide by the 8 CPU cap.

it does seem kind of funny that we go from second place all the way to 5th place and about 8000 points behind.

I'm not worried about an occasional oddball number, especially when the team total is right on, but the bigger numbers (10+ per team) do unbalance things a bit.
