Hi Taeric,

I agree with your statements. Team 37726 now has 208 folks folding, (that's GREAT!) and I don't want to discourage them.

BUT...

The team competiton does have some rules. Those using steriods... lol - well should have some downside applied. And I'm not sour grapes, just wanting others to stick to the rules, but also help the Big team effort of 37726!

MHO, :-)

Update for lohoutlaw,

I was told it was OK to add another p4 2.6Ghz to Team PFFT.
From what i looks like, we have not exceeded the 8 chip mark.
PM me if we have any problems with the competition or team.

thank you

The way Stanford reports CPUs is far from perfect. For example, if you backup your folding directory, reformat, and then reinstate the backup, it will double count that computer. Because of things like that, I'm not going to "police" the competition all that tightly. My goal is to keep the playing field level while encouraging the growth of folding. That being said, teams and/or members who consistently exceed their CPU allotment will face some consequences within the competition, namely disqualification for prize consideration for the given month.

In regards to the problem with team members having too many cpu's, I have PM'd my team mate who has been doing this and asked him to cut back his total usage of cpu's I hope he will comply. I unfortunately didn't monitor the rest of my team and am sorry that I didn't catch this sooner. I hope we can get it taken care of, thanks everyone!

Well to be honest about the hole thing. I have reformatted, 2 times due to software issues. But i never back up anything. So please don't call the F@H police on me I will never due it again
I have checked with my team leader and all is ok, as far as i no.
Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Any Question just PM me.
Thank you for your time

Hey, guys, this isn't anything to get too worked up over. The competition primarily is meant to be fun, so don't worry about it too much. Just try to be aware of your team's allotment of CPUs, and try to stay within the limits for the competition so that each team has a fair chance. If your team gets bumped from prize contention one month due to too many CPUs, you'll be back in the running the following month.

Hi cowboyzkickazz,

Thanks for the update. No problems from my standpoint! I personally get caught up in the "competition" thing as well... It will all work out in the end. I think it's great people are folding and that team 37726 is closing in on 56th place in the world. However, I'm worried about those folks on team TSC Russia! They are moving up like crazy... We need to keep our distance from them..

Take care and Fold On! :-)

I'm really slammed right now both at work and home, so it's not too likely I'll get another update posted by the end of the month. Please keep cranking and watching your team's CPU counts, and I'll get the April results up early next week.

The team has been amazing this month. We'll break our single month record today, and we've been knocking on the door of 50,000 points per day the last couple of days. Our top 20 folders are now consistently all over 400 points per day, and we have a record number of active folders. All in all, you guys are kicking some major butt!
