That's why I keep my RAM in check....

HEck, and trust me also, running a good DDR2 800 kit at DDR2 940 speeds actually is better than running the so-called high speed stuff at that speed. Like Franken, I burned several DDR2 1000/DDR2 1066 speeds, but this Crucial DDR2 800 is going strong for a couple of months now at DDR2 940 speeds.

Yeah, I burned one DDR2 800 kit...but that was my own bad (2.4V and near DDR2 1200 speeds.... LOL)

(knock on wood...) My latest GSKill DDR2-1000 GBHZ's have been working for about three months at full speed (4-4-4-5 timings).

Only took three RMA's to find a good pair . GSkill should hire me as a QA manager.

the G.skill is great ram, just running folding 24/7 puts an extreme amount of stress on Ram. If it's for a non-folding rig get the g.skill otherwise I'd go with crucial.

I've got the 2x2's in my gaming rig. They have been flawless.

My score so far is one kit of G.Skill DDR2 1000, two kits of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 1000 and two kits of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800. Five kits so far. All in the folding rig of course. Currently, a kit of Ballistix DDR2 800 is running solid at DDR2 940 speeds and timings of 4-4-4-12 (borrowing Franken's wood to knock on).

All of this is excellent RAM, but RAM simply gets a beating like nothing else when folding. Folding 24/7 basically requires you to have a backup kit of RAM at hand.
