I am devoting WaterClocker to the team folding effort. P43.0E clocked at 3885 mhz on an Asus P4P800SE with 2 gig Corsair DDR 400 ValueRAM and 2 X 250 SATA RAID.
Thanks for the invite Duke CyberD

Okay how do I change the UserName in the console version? Do I need to delete it and reload it or is there a way i can just change the user name--BTW what is the exact "username" is it "Team Just Because" or iis it "Just Because" want to make sure it works out right.

Welcome aboard
Will that be one core dedicated to theTeam? Please inform Taeric of the system(s) specs you are dedicating. If your only commiting 1 core lat us know so that another team member can add a 3rd for the total of 8 allowed ![]() "Just Be Cause" Actually, I'm unsure about the change, I never made a change just left all as is and informed Taeric of the system specs.

Two cores is what you need and WaterClocker is HT so that means two cores.
I still need to know how to change the User name in the console version--any ideas? EDIT: I opened the config file in Notepad and changed it--that should work... I will PM Taeric now.

For the console version, just add the -config flag to your folding shortcut. That'll give you the option to change the settings including the folding name.
You may want to consider whether using two instances on an HT CPU is a good idea. There's a FAQ in my sig on the subject. There are several good reasons to just use one folding core per physical CPU core.

The 2600+ mobile system is no longer folding, at least here that is but it will be folding somewhere else soon
![]() The EP-9nda3+ has taken over the task!

Taeric: if the concern about HT folding has to do with deadlines--I have yet to miss one--in fact all my projects come in well ahead of their deadlines--with 2 gig of RAM and RAID 0 not to mention a 30% overclock (3858 currently) I don't think accomplishing the projects on time is an issue. That is the only thing I have read in the sticky that would make HT and issue (on a slow machine perhaps) and in IMO finishing WUs is the point behind all this--my two FAH cores are working on entirely different projects--so it isn't like they are redundant.
I fail to see why HT is an issue for dual instances of FAH for my machine. If there is some other issue I am unaware of please bring that to my attention. CyberD

This info comes straight from Stanford, so it's not a personal crusade of mine. I'm just passing along the best way of doing things in their opinion, which is something I highly value since they're the ones who put this whole thing together. Within out team competition, HT is definitely a bad idea because it counts as 2 CPUs but only produces about 30% more points than running one instance that counts as 1 CPU. The above issues aside, you team will get the most points if they can fold with 8 physical CPU cores.
