Maybe you should think about dropping your OC until you get to the bottom of things...


On another note, everybody seems to be folding as much as they can, hopefully we'll hit top 5!

Yes, I was experimenting with a higher OC which was stable until the heater kicked in. I dropped it back to normal, but since then I was stuck with a couple 396 pointers that take 5 days. But I just finished a 600 pointer on my work machine.

I don't know if you ever want to stop folding on your work machine, but I have a Pentium D 915 comming in some time this week... if you're interested, I could replace your work machine with a core from the 915... only if it interests you though...

In any case, it'll fold under Team_Zang!


We're #5!

Nice, we've hit top 5. As more and more teams pick up some C2Ds, our strength will depend on consistency... but it's still a nice showing!

However, we're only marginally ahead of the team in 6th place.... so if we're going to pick up a top 3 position one day, we'll have to give it our all. We've all hit some downtime (mcb didn't even get the whole month!) so we did a GREAT job.

Anyways, only a couple days left for the month, let's keep the lead on team #6.

Here's a little update for october (only a couple of days left!)

Total pts: 36029

About 6 days ago (give or take a couple of hours) we were @ 25184... so we took in 10845 pts, or 1807.5 PPD.

I hope we'll be able to keep up with the other teams, but over 10k pts in 6 days seems pertty good to me.

Fifth place finish with 38550 points! Not too bad fellas considering Jimmy and I had some downtime. 38000 points would of got us 3rd place last month or 2nd place 2 months ago. Good job and reps to all!

mcb, we should tweak your settings a little bit. I bet we could get your rig puttin out numbers like Jimmy2shoe's rig. Try the following settings:

Allow receipt of work assignments...greater than 5mb in size: Yes
Change advanced options: Yes
CPU usage requested: 100
Disable highly optimized assembly code: No
Set -advmethods flag always,...: No (some people use Yes, but this works best for me)

Make sure the machine ID is different for each core.

How can i get the folding team info removed from my info thingy on the left of the screen.

I've not folded for Team Zang! for a loooong time, and have even lost my place on the team, so it seems silly that i have 'folding team rank' still there.

Oh, and good job with this team, you guys are pwning. Nice rigs

Folding team rank refers to your standing on team 37726 and has nothing to do with the internal team competition.
