Dang, I still haven't got credit for a WU I completed yesterday morning. It really sucks when you lose 1760 points.

So I could get a free blade server for folding if I wanted to travel to Oregon. A coworker told me a friend of his picked up three blade servers which were used by a university for folding and is wanting to get them out of his garage. I was seriously thinking about it, but then thought about the cost of running such a machine. Not to mention I would have to install a 220v outlet and run an air conditioner all the time. Dang, just think of the folding power for OCN. This guy didn't know all the details, but he described it as having 8 single core Xeons running @ 3.0ghz on each blade. Hmm....Linux and SMP on each blade........dammit I need to quit thinking about it.
EDIT: Mahtareika, you're close to Oregon. You should go pick it up for me.

Unfortunately, the 2608s run about as fast as the 2604/5/6s but with nearly 400 fewer points. The 2609s fall roughly in the middle of the two.

I recently got a 2608 and a 2609. I can't remember which one it was, but one of them was running really slow. Like 20-25 minutes per frame, when a 2604 or 2605 runs about 12-1/2 minutes per frame.

All of the 260Xs seemed to run withing a few seconds of each other on my systems. The points were just all over the place, unfortunately.

That's what I heard. So I don't understand why that one was running so slow. Yes, I lowered my OC a couple notches because I turned in a couple incomplete WUs, but it definately wasn't enough to slow down F@H that much.

I wouldn't expect so either. I slowed down both of my C2D rigs around 250 MHz when the weather warmed up last month, and it only affected the 260X WUs by about 30 seconds per percent.
Did the slower WU run the full length at "half" speed? If so, maybe there was some corruption of the core or something. It may be worthwhile to clean out your work directory after you finish your next WU so you can get a clean start with freshly downloaded cores.
