Default 16c & 9c....***?

No matter what program I use they all state that my core 1 & core 2 are well below 20c.

Of course the 'processor' shows around 35c-38c....

Ehhhhhhhhhhh?

^^ It isn't your mobo ;] My 4000+ gives false readings too, apparently there was a bad batch.

The only program that would give me correct temps is ASUS Probe..

BTW.. Is 2.9ghz the highest you can get on your 4000+? I was stuck at 2.9ghz too, couldn't hit 3ghz no matter what..

Crud, oh well.

Yeah I can only get it to 2.94Ghz, Can't break the 3.0Ghz mark. I was thinking it's my mobo because my chipset is pretty toasty. It has some stupid cooler that does nothing on it.

So if this is a bad batch, could I RMA it to AMD? Since I still have the warranty and info?

^ Not sure about that, but since it was faulty when you recieved it and it's still under warranty I don't see why not. More than likely you will get another dodgy one though, I think it was more than just a batch that was faulty..

RMA it on account of the temp sensor being messed up.

Crap first line of their warranty
