Window AC unit, only way to go....You could go for a freestanding AC unit but they are a lot more expensive...With 6 computers at 100% my room/office gets VERY HOT without an AC. Infact the computers start to overheat.
6000BTU: ![]() The hardest part about installing one is lifting it into the window...I have a bad back so it was a pain for me, but pretty easy otherwise...Plug and play...Do it!

You could just get really long Cable extenders and keep your CP in a larger more open air. Probably not the best thing to do, but the cheapest and easiest, i was thinking a closet at first.. but then what happens when your closet hits 100F? your compooter dies sooner

I wish I could run a window AC unit, but my HOA won't allow it.

I installed a window AC unit, at my parents house, on a window that slides from left to right, not up and down. I bought plex glass and some caulking and built a support bar to hook up with my house and underneath the unit to keep it from falling out the window. ![]() I spent 80$ on a 5000btu ac unit, 30$ on the glass, and a few bucks here and there for screws, caulking and insulation. Never had heat problems in my room again. You guys do know that with your rigs cramped up in a little small bedroom is what causes the heat ![]() Oh and fans dont work, they just circulate the hot air lol . I went through that phase and ended up doing what i did lol.

72f outside and opening your window and sticking a fan in it doesn't make the room cooler? Do you have some cross-breeze action going on (fan in window, opening your door and a window in some other area of the house or whatever you live in) to ensure proper ventilation?

With my computer, monitor, 46'' Sony 1080P TV, twin xbox 360's (bridged), and my surround sound going, there isn't a fan on earth capable of cooling my room. It reguarily sits at 90F and upwards especially now that it's getting hot outside. I think I HAVE to get a window AC, but I have a sliding window, and the kind that fit that (versus the up and down kind) are 350 and on instead of 80$ =/. The second I walk downstairs it's like stepping into a freezer. Whole house stays cool, just not my room.
