Default Anyone ever cool with veggie or mineral oil??

I just saw this video on Youtube. First time I have ever seen anything like this.

I have been thinking about getting the most out of the stock heatsink for the CPU I am getting (Either AMD 7750, or AMD 550), but when I saw this..... it got me thinking maybe... just maybe I can make use out of a old fish tank I have. How effective is this vs. air cooling, even with an aftermarket cooler (something around $40 range).

True it may be a hassle and a pain to clean if you ever decide to go back to air, but I mean really, other then it being messy and hard to clean (try putting that aside)...... how much better could it be then air cooling? Could one overclock higher with this vs. a $40 cpu heatsink? I mean it would cool everything, not just the cpu.

There's another thread about this over here, I posted a rather long dump of my experience with mineral oil cooling.

No this will give you higher temps and it will be more expensive

That's not necessarily true. As I mentioned in the other thread I linked to, you can get absolutely amazing results with immersion cooling if you apply just a small amount of basic thermodynamic law. It is far, far easier to remove heat from a high density fluid than from a low density gas.

And the cost is hardly staggering - cost is in the area of a typical midrange watercooling or phase-change system.
