Default Cooling Laptop - ThinkPad W500

What are some ways I can keep my laptop cool under high performance tasks. I plan on putting some AS5 on my CPU (should I put it anywhere else?), but is there another effective way to increase the cooling on top of the AS5? I've looked into laptop cooling pads, but do they actually work? If so, what are some top of the line models?

First, wait 24 hours before bumping as per the Terms of Service. Second, fill out your system specs in the control panel. If you can't take the time to follow the rules of our site, why should we take the time to help you?

Should have read the "Terms of Service." But really, who reads those anyway? I guess you do, obviously.
