I just unlocked the 4th core on my Phenom II x3 720 (thanks to raxen for the how-to guide). I had to up my vcore voltage to 1.35 and my cpu-nb to 1.25 to keep it stable.
__________________The CPU idles around 34c, and gets up around 52c under a load (I am stuck with the stock cooler for now). Is this a normal/safe temp range?

Yes

That's odd you have such a range from idle to load. Mine is only about a 7 degree C difference. I wish mine idled that cool.
As long as you keep it under 55, you're good. I don't like to go above 50C personally.
