Default Adding paint or something to a fan to make it look cool when it spins?

I was thinking of a way to make my computer look cooler and i was thinking about like drawing on the fans and making it look when it spins (designs and what-not). would this mess up the fan?

If it makes the fan out of balance it would decrease its life span and could make it vibrate.

Don't go crazy-thick, and try to spread the love evenly across all the fan blades, and you shouldn't really have balance issues. Keep in mind that you probably won't be able to see much with your fans spinning.

Be cool to make a design that looks like nothing when its still, but is something when moving.

Think about it.

BTW, it would have to be low RPM fans to see anything.

i wouldnt use any sort of paint. if the paint flakes off or anything you could get into trouble, on top of what has already been stated about the balance issue. personally i would only use something like a sharpie or something, if you had a clear fan, you could do a lot with a sharpie (there are tons of colors)
