Recently I obtained the Thermaltake Bigwater 780e (i know 'kits' are looked down upon, but it was given to me and its better then stock....)
__________________so upon setting it up and getting in running, i wanted to see if my temps improved (they did as far as i KNOW) then i noticed something when i went into BIOS, it was reporting the CPU temp aprox 15 ~ 18ºC MORE (see example below) then Coretemp and HWMonitor where showing the CPU temp.... any ideas on whats up? bad sensor? programs just dont like my mobo? (sig rig) Example Core Temp - 24°C HWMonitor - 24ºC BIOS - 38°C and this is on idle.... granted my computer is near a window so when the sun is shinning it gets hot...

All that matters is what the load temps are. Run the Small FFTs test in Prime95 for approximately 5-10 minutes, and then report what the load temps are. Idle temps are far more inaccurate than load temps. It's just the nature of the design.

The reason bios temps are higher is because being in the bios is not the same as idling in windows. Your CPU has a mild load and therefore the temps are higher.

43ºC after a 20min Small FFTs test in PRIME95 (± a few º because of the time it took me to re-boot, jump into BIOS and check)
__________________and HWMonitor reported it as 27ºC so 16ºC difference....

So, do it again, but use Core Temp, or HWMonitor while running the Small FFTs test. Then stop the load and watch how fast the temperature drops too.
