Default Will a 3 pin fan work in a CPU 4 pin header?
I was thinking of getting the V8 cooler from Cooler Master and replacing the fan with a Cooler Master R4-L2R-20CR-GP 120mm Red LED Case Fan. The reason for replacing the fan is because of the CFM, the fan that comes with the cooler is only 800-1800RPM 69.69CFM@17-21dBA, and the fan that I plan on replacing it with has 2000RPM 90CFM@19dBA. I just need to know if the fan will work properly being plugged into the CPU fan header.

Yes... the mobo 4pin header accommodates 3 pin fans - the 4th pin is just for those that are PWM enabled.

no problem. my 2000rpm fan is running just over 1500 rpm because i have under 5% load atm.
e4600 @ 3.2 on 1.375 volts. ambient temp 27c cpu temp atm 28c =]]
