Smile Bottom Psu vs Top Psu mounting

Would there really be a big different on heat?

Not a big issue of heat that I know of, but rather stability. With the exception of some cooling solutions, the power supply is hands down the heaviest part of your rig. I'd much rather have it on the bottom than the top so I know my rig is firmly planted on the ground.

I agree, that would be one of the many reasons. I prefer a bottom mount PSU because some cases have vents on the bottom for the PSU to suck air from the bottom and out to the back.

Those two reasons, plus you don't want to put it up top, thats where the radiator goes

The PS on the bottom is better. Modern PS are not used to exhaust CPU heat anymore in modern cases. Plus modern PS are really heavy now compared to the light ones back in the 1990s.

I would rather have mine down the bottom but theres not many cases that have the PSU mount down the bottom and if they do the case is usually expensive for my budget :P. The airflow with the psu down the bottom looks better also because you can have a big fan drawing air out of the case etc.

Hmm interestingly, I read somewhere that with the CM HAF 932 the bottom mounted psu had a harder time sucking in air (and cooling off) than the top mounted version. Any verification on this?

I have an idea on how to fix this....

Get a drill and make your own honey cone pattern in the bottom were the psu fan goes.

hmm are you referring to the one that's already there?
...i suppose i'm a little confused
if you're implying that there isn't an issue because of the honeycomb pattern
i'd counter with-it's on the bottom...even a great fan can't pull air in (no matter the decorative cut out) when there's not much air in the first place (like solid ground)
if you're implying a second honeycomb grid would help i would ask for more explanation and pictures if possible

What would help is lifting the case a bit more off the ground.
