Default What's the best cooler for an core i7

hi there this is my first post and I wanted to know what's the best cooler for an core i7 920 that would be clocked at 4GHZ I have a budget of about £70 it can be air of liquid.

Thermaltake's TRUE 120 isn't too bad either, but Promilatech Megahalems is cheaper and delivers similar performance.

Megahalems FTW.

Best are Megahalems with push/pull, TRUE (lapped/modded) with push/pull, IFX-14 (lapped) with triple fans.

The fans you use matters a lot too. For heatsinks like these you want high pressure fans that can actually move air through the fins, so try to get 38mm deep fans. Sanyo Denki H101s are top notch.

Megahalems or TRUE. Go with the mega, its typically cheaper.

I don't think so. I had one on hand recently and tried it on a 4ghz overclock on a C0 i920. It simply couldn't handle the temps (and that was with HT off).

As mentioned above, short of custom water cooling, the Megalalems, IFX-14 or TRUE are the 3 best air coolers.
