That would demolish case noise for sure.
I'm just not so sure it'd be all that effective as the air would incur a lot of turbulence. If you had some way of smoothing the surface of the foam, in such a way that you create a smooth-walled tunnel, I could see this working. However, if you don't need the sound absorption, this could be done much easier with a cheaper material. I'm intriged though.... might have to try this out.
My concern is that the foam will actual absorb heat that rises outside of the wind tunnel area, creating a massive, radiating, pocket of heat where air doesn't flow sufficiently enough to dissipate it.

CORECT!!!

The fan on the bottom of your case may just cause interference what is the things RPM and *** is it ?
I already have fans, they are not great, but I think that they will do nice job.
This is my fan layout so far:

Like someone else said > ONLY ONE way to find out. Pleasse do some tests whoever tries it and post the results. I would imagine if you sprayed some kind of material over the foam pieces it could cut down on both turbulence and heat absorption( idk ) .

Well, that's what I've thought... Probably just some material (foam like) not with all those bumps like real sound dampening ones.

And that is what I am afraid the most

Something like his but more calculated:

Why not get some plexiglass and cut it to size to create your own system of air channels with choke points directing air at key parts. It would look alot better for sure.

I am not worried how it is gonna look, (closed case, non transparent side), I am even thinking of cutting some styrofoam instead.
