I agree, price does factor in a bit. There's a dude on ebay that sells the OCZ Freeze (worldwide), hope its cheaper in regards to the exchange rate.

Not a simple quest at all, actualy. There are so many criteria on which to judge thermal compounds.

How easy they spread, how well they transfer heat (like you wrote) and AS5 has silver in it cause that transfer heat better than aluminium (or whatever it is they use in it, not sure) some of the new thermal paste even got diamond dust in it cause that transfer heat even better. Uuuuh... diamonds.... uhm yeah like the Innovation Cooling Diamond 7 Carat compund wich is 92% diamond dust

EDIT: Anyways, I've decided to go with the MX-3, it's just the same price as the OCZ Freeze. I'm getting 4g of it with my cooler.

Also, electrical conductivity can be a problem. There are ceramic thermal compounds that don't conduct electricity just in case you need to use it where that would be an issue. The silver based compounds conduct electricity.

Right now the best performers seem to be MX-3, TX-3 and Indigo Xtreme. I use MX-3...

I just received a heatsink with some intresting heatsink compound, the tx-3. It says the thermal conductivity of 6.2, but ive been using and still swear by my other heat sink compound, Innovation Cooling Diamond (uses atual diamonds in it) it thermal interface is 4.5, but i swaer and every one else swears its always a 10 to 5 degree difernce in thermal transfers. So any sudgetions on whitch one I should go with
