as far as overclocking a sound card goes... you'd only hear James hetfield of Metallica sound like the Chipmunks. Overclocking a sound card would severyly screw up the audio processor and timing of the sound... besides... even the best 24bit 96khz audio requires only a freaction of what the PCI bus and your system can deliver so it's really not worth even messing with it.

i have seen an article where they do overclock a sound card, i belive its posted somewhere on this sight. give me a moment an i can get it.

Oh I should also point out that the physical limitation of Coaxial Cable as a medium is 1.544 Mega BIT per second... comcast and other cable companies only advertise faster rates because they compress the data stream and increase the voltage on the line... they are basically overclocking it... if you can get 1.3mb on a cable line you're very lucky as some of the channels have to be used for network admin stuff. Releasing the cpas on your line will likely pollute the heck out of it and likely lead to worse overall performance and many corrupt downloads.

You can overclock a CABLE MODEM? wow ***, never knew that. my service tells me i get 3MBPS and im like getting only 2. hmm. interesting. must google it. =(

you can at least tweak your modem settings so that it will run faster go to tweaks.com

its not really 'overclocking' a cable modem... its called uncapping.

Umm i was wondering,if u can overclock a 56k modem,cant u like take apart ur cable modem and like do something and overclock it to?
