I have been shocked by 12V car battery...so it's not impossible to get shocked by those rails. That guy's crazy.

Tarnish would be the least of my worries! LOL

You cannot touch them while the pc is on, they are HOT wires!

This is industrial design. Nothing new really (for 50 or more years). Just hasn't been done on pc's.

When you are running 3 phase pawer to machines in a plant. You simply run 3 copper wire along the ceiling (covered of course). When you need to add another machine, you simply tie into the line running along the ceiling. Makes life much easier than running wires for every machine.

Why do I know this? I am a maintenance tech for a company that manufactures CD's.

Hey Nick7269,

The three phase power rails remind me of when I worked as a maintenance tech in a large plant a number of years ago. A hoist track had its 480 volt rails about 4 inches apart. I remember seeing a bird land on the center rail and while he just sat there he was okay. But then he tried to peck a bug off the rail he was sitting next to. There was a little flash and "poof!", and the next thing I saw was his little skeleton swinging by one the foot`s toenails in the breeze. `Pretty funny.

I'll one up it...jsut watch..my case mod competition entry is gonna have some very revolutionary cable management. Imagine if there were no wires on the top of your mobo...no IDE, no Sata, no molex, no 24 pin. Nothing....devoid of clutter. Just ram, cards, and cooling. mWAHAHAHAHAHA.....
