Default G15 now with a Mic - Mod

Well, I had this old headset. The earpiece was bad, and unconfortable, and it was just cheap to start with. Also it made my hair look funny :P.

So I did some work, and added it to my G15 keyboard, to make it even more ultimate.

I just removed the part that goes over the head.

Popped off the mic part

I spent some time with a hammer and screw driver removing it from the plastic casing.

Here it is on my Keyboard

Ok, I ditched electrical tape, and added some velcro. Now I can add it and remove it with ease.

My G15 now has a built in mic. It is now even more so the ultimate gaming keyboard.

velcro! Thats the only thing I can think of.

Also, your pictures are a bit big, you might want to resize them.

I started by removing the loopy part that goes over your head. I pretty much just snapped it off. I then used a pointy screwdriver and hammer to remove the rest of the plastic. I pretty much destroyed it, cause I needed to remove the wires from it.

So ya, to conclude: Just remove the mic and it's wire from the housing of the head set.

Mine looked something like this when it was still in 1 piece.
