okay, now im not hard of hearing, but ive realized something odd while paintballing(the competitive kind. not in the woods ****ing around.). when im playing my bunker i tend to get what id call tunnel hearing. my vision range im still constantly watching my periphreals and never get tunneled. but i constantly tune out listening to other people. and when they do say something it seems faint. so i was thinking. put an omnidirectional mic on the lip of a hat. hook it up to a small amp somewhere in the hat wired to a 9v for power. then use an earbud in one ear.
plausible? is there even that small of an amp? if it can fit on the lip of a hat its doable.

Your idea sounds interesting, but I have insight to offer. I use voice-activated throat mics made by Fire Fox with my buddies when we do woodsball or indoor speedball.

yeah but i dont want to have to bug the whole team about wearing mics just for me. nobody else has this problem.
plus. i also need it to be tourney legal. and 2 way systems are illegal.

This reminds me of that hear thing that they sell on TV and walmart. It's $20 if you can pick it up. I forgot the name of it though.

hell yes.
reason im saying hat, is its not exactly uncommon to wear a backwards hat under your mask. the strap goes just above the lip, and the lip(when not bent) is just begging to be used up for something. and it automatically aims the mic backwards. hell if i can get 2 mics, i can have one on each side of the lip, allowing for maximum area of sound magnification while still being specific.
