I recently made the holes on top bigger and it helps exhausting the hot air out.
I can feel the extra air coming out under and on top

so totally going to do this tonight on a BEFSR41v3 which appears to be overheating. it works fine when running on a piece of cardboard with none of the plastic shell on so it can breath. will update post with pictures later.

I put an 80mm fan on my WRT54G v2.. its really loud, but the cooling I would imagine is wonderful.

just get couple of diodes or resistors to pull the volts down...
