I was doing some reading on the PS3 supercomputers. There are a number of researchers who have created PS3 supercomputers. Some cool articles can be found at
http://itrain.org/itinfo/2003/it030528.html and http://www.wired.com/techbiz/it/news..._supercomputer Not trying to advertise this stuff. Just don't want to rip them. It is some pretty cool stuff. Seems there is even a company that is building the machines commerically. For anyone familiar with HPC this is pretty interesting. You can get a working 32 node machine for around 50,000. Crazy stuff. The processors on these machines are even an amazing creation. well hope you all check it out. I think that if one were to use Wine or Crossover on something like this (the PS3 has a built in Linux OS, Yellowdog i think) then they could have one bad arse gaming machine. Just think of the power. castrated_horse |

yes, i realize that one was for PS2's. I could not find the article I had earlier in the day on the PS3's that was even better. The PS2 article shows how hard it was to build the system with PS2's compared to PS3's since the PS2's were no easily adaptable and actually required alot of vendor assistance and modifications.
